Abstract Call Reminder

Reminder – Abstract submissions for the 2020 Clinical Workshops Open until the 28th of February

We want to make this year’s workshops interactive, engaging, educational and inclusive of new graduate and student OTs.

The programme committee warmly invites you to submit an abstract.  Please note the deadline for abstracts is 28 February 2020. This is to allow the programme to be put together much earlier than normal so that members have plenty of notice where they have access to funding.

Woven through each of these streams, the workshops will include: Bi-cultural, student and new graduate content or interest.

All streams will include workshops that focus on on any of the following clinical areas:

  • Children and family
  • Mental health and addictions
  • Physical
  • Social health
  • Health of the older person

The following streams will accommodate the abstract subjects:

  • Whānau Ora (Family wellbeing)
  • Mahi Ora (Work interests/Vocational rehab)
  • Kāinga Ora (Community Health)
  • Te Auaha (Innovation/Entrepreneurial)

We are not going to crowd the event but in fact make provision for discussion and reflection. Taking away valuable learning and practical tools for OT’s to use in their practice is the goal.
