Call for Presentations

26-30 October 2020 each morning from 10 am – 12 midday

Title: Ngā akoranga mai i Kōwheori-19, me te mana taurite hauora/COVID-19 Lessons learnt and health equity

Kia ora Koutou

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, your association decided to cancel this year’s clinical workshops  kanohi ki te kanohi meeting. Instead, we want to offer our members and non-member practitioners the opportunity to engage via video conferencing technology. We are planning a series of 2 hour webinars  during OT week and the week following depending on the response from you.

We warmly invite expressions of interest to submit an outline of your presentation to [email protected]. A small programme committee is being formed to consider offerings and secure a programme.

What are we looking for?

Presentations that provide initial content to provoke thought and reflection, provide learnings that can be translated into practical skills, allows discussion with the presenter, and other attendees via a moderator.

Online presentations do not have to be formal and we encourage creativity and illustrative story telling.

Bicultural Focus:

In embracing the spirit of Te Tiriti, and our treaty relationship governance model we would welcome a true partnership approach, working together as joint presenters or each individual presentation considering both tangata whenua and tangata tiriti world views. (In achieving this both presenters  do not have to be occupational therapists)

Deadline for presentation submissions – 28 August 2020
