Digital health is changing the face of healthcare. It is also changing the challenges faced by practitioners in many ways. All of us are still coming to grips with the advances & wider implications of using technology & it was fascinating for #OTBNZ to listen & contribute at this week's Digital Health Week NZ in Claudelands, Hamilton, the annual Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) conference.

Megan Kenning, #OTBNZ's Advisor – Policy, Standards & Risk, spoke about how technology is influencing the role of regulators in ensuring practitioners have the required competencies and skills for safe care, and how regulation and the way that we regulate is changing, particularly in the use of the data that we hold.

#OTBNZ would also like to congratulate Rebecca (Becky) George, clinical lead allied health informatics, Canterbury District Health Board, for winning the Clinical Informatics Leadership (CLiN) Award 2019!

Here's a lovely group photo from the conference with OTBNZ's Megan Kenning, Mary Silcock & #OTs Becky George & Tamzin Brott, Director of Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Professions, Waitematā District Health Board. Happy weekend 🙂

Hello! Hope you have had a good weekend! Last week we were in Nelson for a Study Day. There were over 40 OTs present from the DHB and the community sector. We covered a practical session on completing the ePortfolio reflective practice cycle, and an update on the nearly completed ePortfolio audit programme over 2019. If you need more information, download our ePortfolio User Guide from our website 🙂
