JOB DESCRIPTION
- Fixed-term, full-time opportunity (40 hours per week) based at Christchurch Campus for approximately six months

- Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as is current registration and annual practicing certificate with the NZ Occupational Therapy Board

The Team: What we do
We’re seeking applications from qualified and experienced Occupational Therapy professionals with proven management experience to join us as our Clinical Manager of Occupational Therapy, based at the Christchurch Hospital Campus. This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity for approximately six months leading our passionate team of occupational therapists. You will be well supported by the broader Allied Health Clinical Managers and Director of Allied Health at the Christchurch Combined Campus.
The Role: Where you fit in
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring the department provides a complete suite of occupational therapy services to both Inpatients and Outpatients as well as Clinical settings, and guide the teams to excel in their roles
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of clinical provision, policies and procedures
- Contributing at an Interdisciplinary level across Allied Health, Medical and Nursing Services
- Implementing and ensuring compliance to the standards of the organisation and have the responsibility for the departments budgeting and FTE requirements
You will also play a major role in directing the Strategic Direction of the Occupational Therapy Department at the Christchurch Combined Campus and link this to the overall Allied Health Strategic direction.
This diverse role will see you developing and promoting the department in an acute setting and demonstrating competence in the management of staff and resources. You will be committed to promote teamwork and facilitate open communication with staff.
