JOB DESCRIPTION

Community Occupational Therapist

Permanent, Part-Time (0.6 FTE/48 hours per fortnight)
Allied Health Rodney Community Team
Waitematā District Health Board
Our community Occupational Therapy service is seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist based at our Warkworth office. You will need to be confident in your skills as an Occupational Therapist and enjoy working autonomously. Your work will be predominantly in the Rodney Area but you are supported by a wider Community team at North Shore and West Auckland.
As a NZ Registered Occupational Therapist, you enjoy working with all age ranges and in particular older adults. You are committed to providing excellent service and continuous quality improvement, and have excellent written and verbal communication, time management and prioritisation skills.  This part-time position involves the management of a clinical caseload visiting patients in their own homes for rehabilitation, equipment provision and/or housing modifications. 
We are ideally looking for someone who has experience working in a community physical setting. EMS accreditation in wheelchair and seating level one and/ or two and EMS accreditation in complex housing is preferred as well as a working knowledge of the EMS prioritisation tool.
