Occupational Therapist and General Nurse part time opportunities available! Asap Start!

Great opportunity to join our vibrant interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.  Frankton Park currently has long term residential based clients living together in a variety of homes and client mix that is appropriate to the individuals skill/experience and level of supported independence. We offer 24/7 support and supervision provided by our experienced staff.

Our primary focus is facilitating rehabilitation and goal achievement for people living with a traumatic and/or acquired brain Injury alongside people in the community pursuing career paths and employment, developing life skills such as budgeting, how to run a home, pursuing further education, or simply learning how to get on with people, managing your own risks and living a satisfying life to the full extent of every individual’s ability.

Functional living skills assessments
Placement assessments
Supporting high risk users of services living in the wider community
Holiday rehabilitation programmes

We have been operating for just over 2 years as a private provider in central Hamilton and due to the success of our rehabilitation programs and excellent staff we have opportunities available for an experienced OT and General Nurse to join our team.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team that works collaboratively and takes a patient centred and goal focused approach.  As an OT working in this team, your day with be both exciting and varied. You will be working collaboratively with our nursing and medical colleagues, and with patients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.

Skills and experience:
You will need to demonstrate your excellent communication skills and build rapport with patients and their whanau. This position would suit an individual with experience in brain injuries, mental health rehabilitation and general OT and or nursing experience.  An understanding of cognitive assessments would be an advantage.  We require you to bring your holistic skills, enthusiasm and passion to achieve the best outcome for your clients and colleagues.

You will need:

to be an experienced and NZ registered Occupational Therapist
hold a current practicing certificate and insurance
hold a driving license
have a can-do attitude and a passion for working alongside people
