Te Harakeke Child, Adolescent and Family Service
Permanent: 1.0 FTE
Do you have a passion for working with children, adolescents and their families/Whanau? A great opportunity has come up in our Child, Adolescent and Family Service (CAFS) team for a Mental Health Clinician (preferably a person with experience in providing mental health assessments and therapy) to join the team.
This role offers great variety, including a combination of both group and individual work as well as work within the DHB and out in the community. You will work with a number of specialists both internally and externally, so you will need the ability to maintain excellent working relationships with these groups of people and their organisations.
It is essential that you hold a tertiary qualification in either Psychotherapy, Counselling, Family Therapy, or similar and it would be an added advantage if you also hold a post graduate clinical qualification in child and adolescent mental health or development and/or specialist models. Knowledge of therapy models including CBT, Solution Focussed Therapy and ACT will be essential.
Along with these qualifications, you will be self-motivated, be an excellent communicator and a team player with commitment to quality, excellence and professional development.
You will hold current NZ Registration with a current driver’s licence.
If you feel you have the drive and enthusiasm to work within our CAFS environment then make the move and apply to join our great team.
Please apply online or for further information contact Tafadzwa Mavhunga CAFS Manager on 06 878 8109 ext. 5802 or email [email protected]
We encourage new graduates and those with less experience but passionate about working in mental health to apply.
