Neurodevelopmental Therapist, Child Development Service 1.0 FTE
Are you interested in working with children with disabilities and their whanau in a community based service using an equitable and transdisciplinary model of practice with the child and their family at the centre which involves working collaboratively with other services.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate therapists to join our experienced, supportive and well respected Child Development Service team.
This position exists to provide a community based service for children aged 0-16 years (or until they leave school) who have neurological / developmental disabilities.
Applicants must be a NZ registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with;
•A current practising certificate
•A thorough knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and a sensitivity to different cultures
•A current,clean drivers’ license
We are seeking therapists with previous postgraduate experience in paediatrics, neurology or community services. However if you do not have these experiences and are keen to develop paediatric skills and learn how to work in a trans-disciplinary model with whānau we can offer you a unique opportunity to participate in comprehensive education and on the job training
