Permanent full time or part time positions available
Are you a dynamic Therapist who already has a good experience base who wants to increase their skills working in the fields of medical fitness to drive, and vehicle modification scripting?
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Therapist to join our highly skilled interdisciplinary team.
About Us
The Specialist Assessment Team is a division of the Laura Fergusson Trust Canterbury operating across the South Island. We provide specialist assessment services and rehabilitation input with a variety of complex clients within the community. Our client group varies from Spinal Injury, TBI, Amputee’s and multi-trauma, general orthopaedic injuries covering all ages and elderly clients requiring medical fitness to drive reviews.
About the Role
To meet a range of rehabilitation requirements for clients with multiple impairments and disabilities.To provide medical fitness to drive assessments for ACC covered clients and the elderly, and/or vehicle modification scripting.

About You
- NZ Registered OT approved by the Occupational Therapist Board of New Zealand
- Current annual practicing certificate.
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the rehabilitation framework.
- Willingness to network and build relationships.
- Confident in working in a fast paced, quick changing environment alongside other members of the team.
- Willing to travel.
- Experience in medical fitness to drive assessment would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
- Experience of ACC contracts would be preferable but not essential.
- Willing to work within our values.
- A valid and clean driver’s licence.
