Ngā mōhiohio e pā hānga ki tēnei mahi (About this position)
We have a permanent, part-time position available, working 48 hours a fortnight (0.6FTE), based at the Marlborough Health Hub, in Blenheim. We are looking for an occupational therapist who is passionate about working with children and being part of multi-disciplinary team. The role will require you to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs.
The Child Development Service (CDS) team has a strong commitment to child protection and is dedicated to helping children achieve optimum function and well-being. We provide multi-disciplinary therapy for children with disabilities, referred to the service, in partnership with their families/caregivers; this role spans community, primary, inpatient and outpatient settings.
It is highly desirable that you have post graduate clinical experience in paediatrics and an interest in wheelchair/seating and postural management systems for this role.

You will be a NZ registered occupational therapist, with a current APC and ideally have Enable Assessor accreditation. You will have a passion for working in paediatrics, or the desire to upskill in this area. You will also have excellent communication and rapport building skills with children and their whānau and will share our passion for delivering an excellent service, whilst being a dedicated team player. You will be committed to adhering to best practice and extending your own professional development.
