JOB DESCRIPTION

Mid North Area (0.8FTE)

If you’re looking for the chance to make your mark, working for the largest employer in Northland is where you’ll find it. Our leaders enjoy freedom to motivate and support as well as lead initiatives into new areas of research. You can make an impact on your community, your team and on your own professional development – all whilst still maintaining time for ‘time-out’.

We currently have a stimulating and challenging opportunity for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Mid North Mental Health & Addiction Services based across the Mid Northland Area with bases in Kerikeri and Kaikohe, working 32 hours per week.

Northland DHB is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Māori as Tāngata Whenua as the highest priority.

To be successful in this role you will need to hold a current practicing certificate, and drivers licence, and have the ability to work autonomously and be a team player with experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.

A passion and interest in mental health and addictions is essential, and experience in the sector is highly desirable, as is local knowledge.

A career with Northland DHB will see you action meaningful change in the region we love, and in your professional development – all whilst enjoying everything the stunning North has to offer. You really can enjoy the best of both.
