JOB DESCRIPTION

Mary Potter Hospice is looking for a part time Occupational Therapist to be a valued member of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team with responsibility for providing specialist palliative care to patients within the Porirua Region.

Mary Potter Hospice is one of Wellington’s best loved charities. We are a great place to work, we offer excellent working conditions, together with a friendly and motivated team environment.

Our core values of Mana/Respect, Aroha/Compassion, Rangatiratanga/Dignity, Manaakitanga/Hospitality and Kaitiakitanga/Stewardship are very important to us and we apply these to the people who work here as much as our patients and whānau.

The Role: You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions for patients and their families.  You will provide specialist education both internally and externally and support the Day Hospice service as required.

About You: You will be an experienced registered Occupational Therapist with appropriate tertiary level qualifications. Community and palliative care experience is desirable.

If you are an exceptional healthcare professional, who values a supportive, team based work environment where you can improve the lives of people at such an important time, we would love to talk with you further.

Please send a cover letter, CV and application form to Catherine Hart, Mary Potter Hospice, PO Box 7442, Newtown 6242 or email [email protected]

For further information, please phone Norma Hickland, Community Manager – Porirua on 021 194 0190
