JOB DESCRIPTION

Full Time, 1.0 FTE
Permanent Position

Our Occupational Therapy team is looking for a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist to provide services to the acute and rehabilitation wards and community services based at Taranaki Base Hospital and Hawera Hospital. This position offers a 6-9 month rotation between acute orthopaedics / surgical / paediatrics, acute medical, Older Peoples Health rehabilitation, Rural hospital inpatient and community and into the community. The rotation is based at both Taranaki Base Hospital and Hawera Hospitals.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Have entry-level competencies in Occupational Therapy.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work effectively in the acute and rehabilitation inpatient setting.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work effectively in the community Occupational Therapy setting
  • Show good assessment and prioritising skills.
  • Have the ability to work co-operatively in a multi disciplinary team.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
