We have two fixed term positions available for NZ registered Occupational Therapists who have a genuine passion for working with clients across all areas of our occupational therapy service.
1 x full-time (1.0FTE) position, working 80 hours a fortnight, from late May 2021 to late September 2021.
This position is to specifically provide winter serge cover across inpatient areas at Nelson Hospital and will support the team to maintain consistent and quality service delivery. The role will require flexibility, to provide a 7 day service, and will offer a range of acute and rehab clinical experiences.
1 x part-time (0.5FTE) position, working 40 hours a fortnight, from late May 2021 to late May 2022.
This 12 month position is primarily community based, working alongside allied health colleagues and community agencies, to assist complex clients primarily with equipment and housing needs, to live safely and as independently as possible at home.
This role is to back fill a staff member seconded to work on a new service initiative between primary care and neurology services.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
You will be a NZ Registered Occupational therapist with at least two years post-qualification experience, comprehensive clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, and with the experience, passion and ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively. You will have excellent communication skills to liaise with health professionals and agencies, and will be adaptable, resourceful, and enjoy working in a flexible environment to meet service needs.
