ABI Rehabilitation has an opportunity for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a particular interest in brain injury and experience in paediatrics and neuro rehabilitation to join our progressive interdisciplinary community team in Auckland. We are a leader in the field of brain injury rehabilitation and an accredited provider of community based rehabilitation for adults and children with traumatic and acquired brain injury.

Our community service provides a range of rehabilitation and assessment services for adults and children in the community. Key clinical roles include assessing and treatment of a variety of clients with brain injury to facilitate return to pre injury roles and activities. We see our clients at home, school/kindergarten, and community settings. We have a strong client and family/whānau focus.

You would be working in a supportive team environment alongside rehabilitation medical specialists, clinical and neuropsychologists, physiotherapists, speech-language therapists, dietitians and social workers. We can offer you excellent opportunities for professional development; you would also have the opportunity to contribute to rehabilitation service planning and promotion, ongoing training and development of fellow team members, and clinical research.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor Health Science- Occupational Therapy (or similar) and a minimum of two years experience working with children through their rehabilitation (neurological rehabilitation experience preferred).

We require a high standard of work and in return offer you excellent opportunities for personal and professional development and a great team environment. We are committed to our staff and offer flexible working hours.

ABI would also be interested in hearing from applicants with the desired skills set interested in contracting part time
