ABI Rehabilitation has an opportunity for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a particular interest in brain injury and experience in paediatrics and neurorehabilitation to join our progressive interdisciplinary community team in Auckland.  We are a leader in the field of brain injury rehabilitation and an accredited provider of community-based rehabilitation for adults and children with traumatic and acquired brain injury. 

Our community service provides a range of rehabilitation and assessment services for children and adults in the community. Key clinical roles include assessing and treatment of a variety of clients with brain injury to facilitate the return to pre-injury roles and activities.  We see our client’s at home, school/ kindy, and community settings.  We have a strong client and family/ whanau focus.

You would be working in a supportive team environment alongside rehabilitation medical specialists, clinical and neuropsychologists, physiotherapists, speech-language therapists, dietitians, and social workers. We can offer you excellent opportunities for professional development; you would also have the opportunity to contribute to rehabilitation service planning and promotion, ongoing training and development of fellow team members, and clinical research.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor Health Science- Occupational Therapy (or similar) and a minimum of two years of experience working with children through their rehabilitation (neurological rehabilitation experience preferred).
