Permanent, full and part-time opportunities
As of today’s date when you search “Occupational Therapist” on a major NZ employment website you will get over 100 hits, so, why would you choose to work with us?
Well first up, let’s be honest. We can’t compete with the salaries offered in private practice, we can’t offer you financial incentives, small caseloads, or a cruisy work day but what we can offer is for you to be part of a dedicated, energetic and creative team of people who care about supporting people to remain living well in their homes. This role involves far less report writing and provides a better work life balance than private work. Yes, there are Enable applications but these will be contained within your work hours so you can leave work at work. We even have one of the only Advanced Practitioners in Wheelchairs and Seating in the country who can support your learning and development in this area of skill.
Engage Community Allied Health employ around 40 staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, Speech Language Therapists, and Allied Health Assistants who all work together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. What we are offering you is to become part of a service that cares about their community and their team. Our jobs are very serious and have huge impacts on the lives of others but along the way you will build relationships and comradeship with the team who will support you and bring joy into your everyday work.
We are looking for ‘can do’ people who have a passion for doing whatever it takes to support our most vulnerable to live their best life. No two days will look the same, there will never be a shortage of work but we will have lots of fun along the way and provide a great team spirit.
If you need any other reasons to work for us then consider the more than 2350 hours of sunshine we get a year, fresh produce, vineyards, art deco and the ocean right on our front door step.
If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!
