Professional Rehabilitation Team Leader | Hawkes Bay/Gisborne

[email protected] is our Psychology and Allied Health Service, providing personalised rehabilitation to clients in the community.  A trusted name in the regions we service, our team supports people to rehabilitate from illness, injury or disability while staying connected to family and the community.

About the role:

An excellent opportunity is now available for a Registered Health Professional that wishes to work as a Team Leader within our Professional Rehabilitation Team.

You will be responsible for maintaining clinical oversight of the delivery of the Hawkes Bay and Gisborne Professional Rehabilitation service, acting as a key point of escalation for queries or any issues the team might have.  You will not only be providing clinical oversight of high need and complex assessments and interventions but will also maintain a clinical caseload. Knowledge of ACC contracts and processes is essential, as is a commitment to person and whanau centred practice.

You will have a real passion and dedication to all aspects of service delivery and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with your team, clients and their families.  You will work with a wide range of people with illness, injury or disabilities, providing assessment and rehabilitation programmes within their home, work or community settings.

Role requirements include:

  • NZ Registration and current APC
  • Association membership or equivalent
  • NZ post graduate experience of 2 years of more
  • Proven depth of experience and expertise in a wide range of areas under your relevant scope of practice.
  • Experience in working with people with Traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and or sensitive claims is preferred.
  • Proven staff leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • An understanding and appreciation of Tikanga Maori
  • Clean Full NZ Drivers Licence with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Proficient computer and IT knowledge
