Centrally located our district is well known for its many outdoor recreational activities including tramping, cycling, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding as well as lake and river water sports such as boating and kayaking. Less than one hours drive from the Bay of Plenty coast that offers lots of sun and good surf, boating, fishing and deep sea diving.
We currently have a vacancy within the new graduate rotation programme. The full time position is suitable for new graduate therapists, or someone who is wanting to consolidate their skills in a variety of clinical areas. This position is on a six monthly rotation.
The rotation includes the following areas:
- Acute Orthopaedic and Surgical Services
General Medical and Neurology Services
Older Persons, Rehabilitation and Stroke Services
The role will allow you to complete the Occupational Therapy process with a varied caseload and provide the opportunity for working within the inpatient environment with the potential for some community follow-up work.

In addition to providing direct Occupational Therapy, the Therapist will play a key role in contributing to the promotion and development of the Occupational Therapy service and the profession as a whole.
